Located at 11 Aviles Street, between Artillery Lane, Cadiz and Charlotte Streets the Hamblen- Holiday Building, home of the11 Aviles Street Arts and Crafts Guild is actually 2 buildings joined together, one built in 1864 and the other in 1885 by Hamblen Hardware, It was renovated in the 1930's and is now in the process of another renovation. Dan Holiday had owned the building since the 1980's and today there are 10 artist studio lofts on the 2 upper floors.
On the street level, there are several local art galleries, Georgia Nick Gallery, Aviles Gallery, Dan Holiday Leather, Joel Bagnal Goldsmith, Jenson Pottery and Bouvier's Maps and P.A.S.T.A.
